Carol Demas

Professional Background: Retired MassMutual executive for 25 years in roles centering on strategic planning, facilitation, and human resources. Prior to joining MassMutual, Carol was a high school math teacher.

Carol’s most recent position at MassMutual was Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Sales and Distribution organization, and she was a Registered Principal with MML Investors, Inc., MassMutual’s broker-dealer. Earlier in her career at MassMutual, Carol served as an executive in Human Resources, primarily responsible for organizational development, talent development, executive coaching, succession planning, employee relations, and workforce planning.

Over the course of her career, she attended executive development programs designed for MassMutual high-potential executives at the Darden Business School, University of Virginia, and at Cornell University in New York.

Board and civic organization affiliations:

Carol currently serves as a board member for the Council on Aging in West Springfield, MA and is a former member of Kiwanis International. She has also supported the projects of various non-profit organizations, most recently with the Jack Jonah Foundation where she served as Casting Director for an educational film which was released nation-wide.
