Overview
When did the update take place?
All users were transitioned to the new theme on March 7, 2023.
Will I be able to switch back to the old theme?
All users were moved to the new theme. Previous versions are no longer available.

Logging In
Did the process for logging in to PeoplesOnline change?
Online Banking LoginThe text on the grey button located at the top of all bankatpeoples.com webpages changed from “Log In” to “Online Access”.

After you click the “Online Access” button, a blue drop-down box will appear. You will no longer enter your username in the drop-down box. Instead, click on the “Log In” button in the Personal & Business Banking section.

This will bring you to the new sign in page, which will include both User ID and Password.

Simply type in your PeoplesOnline credentials and then click on the “Log In” button to access your account. Your UserID and Password did not change.
Do I have to to download a new version of the Mobile Banking app?
No. If you have already downloaded the PeoplesBank Mobile App, it was automatically updated on March 7. You don’t need to re-download the app.

The new sign in screen includes both User ID and Password. Simply type in your PeoplesOnline credentials and then click on the “Log In” button to access your account.

Mobile app users can still log in using Fingerprint or FaceID.
How do I download the Mobile Banking app?
Our mobile app is available for iPhone® and Android™ devices. If you are not a current user of PeoplesOnline Banking, please enroll first. For assistance, email PeoplesBank or call 413.538.9500.

The two two most recent versions of the following browsers are supported: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari.

Navigation & Appearance
Did the mobile app menus change?
There are now two menus instead of one. You can access key features like Accounts, Transfers, Bill Pay and Mobile Deposit from the menu on the left side. The menu on the right side includes service related links that allow you to update your profile, manage your alerts, turn your debit card on/off, contact us and more. There is no longer a back button. However, there is a new bottom navigation bar that provides access to commonly used pages with one click.
Is the new version of PeoplesOnline available in Dark Mode?
Yes. Dark mode is available for both desktop and mobile users. To switch to Dark Mode, open the Services menu and click on Theme Switcher. Select Dark Mode under the Style drop-down, and click update. All users are defaulted to light mode.

Account Features
How can I view my Current Balance?
You can view your Current Balance by clicking into individual accounts. The Account Summary page no longer shows current balance information for your accounts.
Can I view my recent transactions?
You can view recent transactions by clicking into individual accounts. Recent Transactions no longer appear on the Account Summary page.
Can I view my aggregate balance?
Aggregate balances no longer appear on the Account Summary page. If you would like to view your aggregate balance, you can use the download feature at the account level on desktop. Click 'Download' and then select the 'Balances' tab. Click 'Add Other Accounts' and select the accounts that you'd like to include. Click download to run the report. This feature is not available on mobile.

Transfers & Loan Payments
Can I still transfer to "Unlinked Accounts"?
Yes. "Unlinked Account" have been renamed to "Someone Else's Account".
Can I still complete multiple transfers at the same time?
No. Transfers need to be completed individually.
How do I complete a loan payment?
You can make a loan payment as a transfer on the Transfers page. There is no longer a separate Loan Payment page.

Financial Management Tools
Can I still use Quicken and QuickBooks?

Yes. If you use Quicken or QuickBooks, you may experience an interruption in connectivity for up to 3 days. The connection will automatically be restored. You can use the following steps to manually load your transactions while the automatic connection is unavailable.

  1. Log into PeoplesOnline
  2. Click on your name in the upper right
  3. Choose Service Center
  4. Choose Quicken and QuickBooks
  5. Under Web Connect Download, choose an account
  6. Choose a time frame
  7. Unless specifically using QuickBooks, leave software on Quicken
  8. Click Download
  9. Save the download
  10. Log into your financial software, and follow your software’s instruction for importing transactions from a file
Can I still use external financial management tools?
Yes. If you use external financial management programs, websites or apps that connect using your PeoplesOnline credentials or account information, you may experience an interruption in connectivity for up to 48 hours. If you are having issues connecting, you may have to reach out to the company who provides this service to let them know that your PeoplesOnline platform has been recently updated. You may need to ask the company to refresh the aggregation links.
