Readers Rave for PeoplesBank Again: Voted Best Local Bank and Best Mortgage Lender

PeoplesBank was voted Best Local Bank and Best Mortgage Lender in the 2019 Reader Raves survey.

HOLYOKE, MA (September 24, 2018) – PeoplesBank was named Best Local Bank for the sixth year and Best Mortgage Lender for the seventh year in the annual Reader Raves survey, conducted by The Republican. The annual poll administered by The Republican and MassLive draws close to 70,000 voters each year.

“As a mutual bank, we work really hard to serve both our customers and the community,” notes Thomas W. Senecal, President and CEO of PeoplesBank. “Awards of this type, based on the votes of people who live right here in Western Mass, are important to us. They say our values are recognized and local businesses are important to the community.”

As a mutual bank, PeoplesBank is not owned by shareholders and can therefore focus on the needs of its customers and the community. The bank’s associates volunteer thousands of hours each year in support of charitable and civic causes, and the bank has been named a Top Corporate Charitable Contributor by the Boston Business Journal. It’s mortgage originators are some of the most experienced in the market, and their efforts have resulted in the Warren Report naming the bank the number one mortgage lender for several years in a row.

The bank will be honored at the 2019 Reader Raves celebration dinner held at the Log Cabin Banquet & Meeting House in Holyoke in October.
