PeoplesBank Named "A Top Place to Work" and "Employer of Choice"
The Boston Globe and the Employers Association of the NorthEast honor bank for employee engagement and workplace culture.
HOLYOKE, MA (November 17, 2017) – Two recent announcements have again underscored the high performance culture and employee engagement efforts of PeoplesBank. For the sixth year in row, The Boston Globe has named PeoplesBank a “Top Place to Work,” and the Employers Association of the NorthEast named the bank an “Employer of Choice.”
“Our culture and the values that support it are things that we take very seriously,” suggests Thomas Senecal, President and CEO of PeoplesBank. “We can measure the positive impact of our investments in innovation, corporate responsibility, environmental sustainability, and employee engagement. They make PeoplesBank a great place to work and to bank.”
The Boston Globe’s “Top Place to Work Award” is based on surveys completed by more than 75,000 workers at 334 companies around the state and administered by the employee engagement company Energage (formerly called WorkplaceDynamics) of Exton, Pennsylvania. The survey asks employees about management, training, direction, job satisfaction, and more; the more positive the response, the higher the company ranks. PeoplesBank finished 35th on the list of large employers and was the only company from Western Massachusetts to receive the award. In making its “Employer of Choice Award,” the Employers Association of the NorthEast noted “PeoplesBank showed their significant cultural push for employee innovation, engagement, performance, and development. Working with their team of highly committed employees, they focus on customer satisfaction and caring for their communities and the environment.”
