Consisting of over one hundred & fifty acres, Look Park is a gift to the City of Northampton from Mrs. Fannie Burr Look. It is a living memorial to Frank Newhall Look and was first opened to the public in 1930. The Park is a city-owned park and is administered as a non-profit organization by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees.

Western Massachusetts' prized carousel has a storied history that dates back to the early 1900s when Mountain Park, an amusement park on the side of Mount Tom, delighted children and families. The Holyoke Merry-Go-Round is now located in Holyoke Heritage State Park – managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
