HOLYOKE, MA (November 22, 2016) – The Boston Globe has named PeoplesBank a “Top Place to Work” for the fifth year in a row. PeoplesBank was the only company in Western Massachusetts to be named a “Top Place to Work” by The Boston Globe.
“The organizational values of PeoplesBank drive a sense of purpose in our associates,” notes Janice Mazzallo, Chief Human Resources Officer at PeoplesBank. “I think that is the reason we are a five time ‘Top Place To Work’ winner. Innovation, volunteerism, work-life balance and environmental sustainability are all continually reinforced throughout our company, and are a part of everyday life here.”
This year, Victor Rodriquez, a Mortgage Consultant at PeoplesBank was featured in the special publication regarding his thoughts on first-time homeownership. “I’m a first-generation homeowner, the first in my family to own a house. So I really understand when folks in Chicopee, Springfield, or Holyoke struggle to buy a home,” Mr. Rodriquez noted in the article. “I think everyone has a right to own their own home, whether it’s a one- or two-family, although there are some foundations that have to be laid — credit, income, work history. I break it down and describe the steps that need to be taken.”
According to the Boston Globe, each year Workplace Dynamics of Exton, Pennsylvania, specialists in employee engagement and retention, surveys workers around the state. More than 2,000 companies were invited to participate in the “Top Places to Work” survey. Approximately 70,000 employees rated them on things like direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay, and benefits.
