PeoplesBank Seminar Helps Businesses Retain Top Talent
HOLYOKE, MA (March 10, 2014) Maintaining a healthy work-life balance, keeping personnel energized, and supporting their interests and goals are all critical for retaining high-performing employees. Please join PeoplesBank on Thursday, April 3, as it hosts the first in the 2014 series of free business seminars. This year’s presentation, “The Power of Stay Discussions,” will feature Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer Janice Mazzallo.
A “Stay Discussion” [VIDEO] is an informal but critical conversation between a manager and one of their top performers. It is designed to provide an understanding about what makes that person stay at the organization and what the manager can do to continue to enhance those things. The seminar will teach attendees how to take a proactive approach to retaining top performers, a key to helping businesses grow. Ms. Mazzallo will share her experiences and advice in enhancing operations, rewarding achievement and celebrating success. Her efforts have enabled PeoplesBank to retain as well as attract great employees whose values align with the bank.
Ms. Mazzallo possesses more than 20 years of experience working with all levels of management to maximize the value of their workforce. She has been part of PeoplesBank’s ongoing effort to build a culture that values employee engagement. During Ms. Mazzallo’s tenure, PeoplesBank has been named a Top Place to Work by the Boston Globe on two occasions, was selected as an Employer of Choice by the Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and was selected by readers of the Republican as a Best Place to Work as part of its annual Reader Raves poll.
Ms. Mazzallo regularly presents on a variety of human resources subjects. Her recent presentations have included “Building a High-Performance Culture through Employee Engagement” at the National Employee Benefits Forum and Expo and “Deciding What Is Most Important in Life: Aligning Your Core Values with Your Career” at the Bay Path College Women’s Conference.
