President and Chief Executive Officer
Tom has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. In February of 2016 Tom was elected President of PeoplesBank, previously serving as the bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management (B.S. Business Administration), is a Certified Public Accountant. Tom attended the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College. He currently serves on the board of directors of Holyoke Community College Foundation, where he is Chair of the Investment Committee; Director of Loomis Communities, Inc.; and the Hampshire Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is the current Chairman of the Board of the New England Insurance Trust (NEIT) and Director of the New England Mortgage Insurance Exchange (MEIME). He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst..
Executive Vice President, Senior Lender & Chief Credit Officer
Michael has over 30 years of banking experience in all areas of commercial banking, including lending, cash management, credit and operations. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, and a Master of Business Administration degree at Western New England University in Springfield, MA. A resident of Feeding Hills, he is on the Board of Directors for the Springfield Technical Community College Foundation, a member of the Economic Advisory Committee to the Mayor of Holyoke and a member of the Community Foundation Audit and Finance Committee. He was previously affiliated with the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and the Service League of Western Massachusetts.
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Janice has over 30 years of human resource management experience and joined PeoplesBank in 2005. She is a graduate of America’s Community Bankers National School of Banking at Fairfield University and holds a Master’s Degree from Cambridge College. Janice serves on the board for the Stonier ABA Graduate School of Banking Advisory and the Northampton Survival Center. Janice is also an active member in the Northeast Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and a volunteer reader for Link to Libraries, Inc..
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Brian has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He is a graduate of Bryant College and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and is a recipient of the Wharton Leadership Certificate. Brian is president of the Finance and Accounting Society of New England and an officer of the Financial Managers Society, Boston Chapter. He serves on the boards of directors for the Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce and The Children’s Study Home.
Senior Vice President - Operations
Starting at PeoplesBank in 1985, Jackie has over 25 years of experience. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (B.A. Economics); University of Massachusetts (M.B.A.); Babson College (MassBankers School of Financial Studies); Villanova University (Masters Certificate in Lean Six Sigma); and Dartmouth College (Tuck School of Business – Leadership Program). Jackie gives back to the community by serving on the Board of Directors at the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, and as a member on the following: Investment and Finance Committee for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Community & Economic Development Council for the Town of South Hadley, and COCC Strategic Development Council.
Senior Vice President - Retail
Sheila has over 25 years of banking experience and joined PeoplesBank in 2005. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.A.), American Bankers Association's Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned her Masters of Business Administration degree at Assumption College. She serves on the Board of Directors at the River Valley Counseling Center, Massachusetts Fair Housing Center, STCC Foundation Board, Urban League of Springfield and the YWCA of Central Massachusetts.
