• locating the site on previously developed land 
• recycling 98% of demolition and construction materials
• reducing storm runoff by minimizing hard surfaces (runoff that still exists is subjected to onsite filtration which removes contaminants and pollutants)
• installing plumbing fixtures that use 43% less water than a non-green building of the same size
• using energy saving HVAC and lighting systems that meet LEED standards
• building with 32% regional materials and products (regional includes materials or products that have been extracted, harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured, within 500 miles of the project site)
• creating an interior using low-emitting paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants and carpets
• furnishing with low-emitting furniture that meets SCS and GREENGUARD Certification
• adopting a green cleaning program that reduces the negative impacts on building occupants and visitors, as well as the environment
• installing individual recycling bins for metal, plastic, glass, paper and cardboard
• future use of drought-resistant landscaping will help avoid wasting clean drinking water on irrigation
